St Kilda’s rotten run with injury has continued with veteran midfielder Dan Hannebery and co-captain Jarryn Geary suffering setbacks.
After losing ace midfielder Jade Gresham to a season-ending Achilles injury last Saturday, the Saints on Thursday confirmed the extended lay-offs for the experienced duo.
Hannebery, who has played just 13 games since arriving from Sydney ahead of the 2019 season, strained his calf on Tuesday and will miss at least four weeks of training with the main group.
He has endured an injury-plagued run at Moorabbin after 208 games with the Swans.
Geary fractured his left leg in January, but now needs surgery to clear scar tissue and will be sidelined for an additional six weeks.
