Woman, 23, faces Perth court after allegedly breaching quarantine directions ‘to visit boyfriend’

A woman from Western Australia has been remanded in custody after she allegedly breached isolation requirements in order to visit her boyfriend, police have said.

The woman entered the state from Victoria on February 21 and was ordered to quarantine for 14 days at an approved location.

However, it is alleged that a random G2GNow check-in revealed that she was not at that site, prompting police to investigate her whereabouts.

“As a result of these inquiries, police ascertained and will allege the woman breached her direction on a number of occasions, including to visit her boyfriend,” WA Police said on Sunday.

The woman was charged with five counts of failing to comply with a direction, and appeared before the Perth Magistrates Court on…
